when the kettle finally boiled and went quiet, heard the man on the tele say something about “wintery weather”, which was spot on, cos as i sat to eat my oatmeal there was a sudden shower of hail outside.

“yeah… nah, not takin’ the dogs out in this” said fren.
from where they were huddled against the radiator, dogs did not seem disappointed by this announcement.
