Als ich heute wieder um viertel vor fünf aufwachte und in der Ferne eine Amsel singen hörte, beschloss ich aufzustehen und dem Gesang näher zu kommen. Ich setzte mich aufs Fahrrad, fuhr Richtung Mond und landete am See, in leichtem Frühnebel und hörte Amseln, Rotkehlchen, Singdrosseln, Graureiher und noch einige andere.
Es war so kalt, dass mir die Knips-Hand fast abfror. Aber das musste sein.

As the sun slowly climbed higher, the mist began to settle. What once floated invisibly through the air became droplets — tiny beads of water forming along the delicate threads of spiderwebs.

And then the light found them.

Each droplet acted like a miniature lens, bending and reflecting the morning light. This is refraction at work: light changing direction as it passes through water, turning simple dew into a constellation of bright points. What is nearly invisible in shadow becomes suddenly radiant under the right angle of light.

For a brief moment, the forest revealed a hidden structure — geometry spun overnight, now outlined in light.

Same place, same camera, same settings. Just a little later in time… and an entirely different world.

The Morning Dew, a band from Topeka, Kansas, released two well-regarded singles in 1967, "Be A Friend"/"Go Away" and "No More"/"Look At Me Now." Despite disappointing sales, particularly for the former, both tracks showcase their musical talent, particularly through its innovative fuzz guitar use. The group remains influential and sought after.
