I’m currently re-reading Michael Moorcock’s Elric saga. I first read it as a teen and it was an enigma to me. The books seemingly were all over the place, style-wise, then I stumbled across someone who suggested an alternative reading order besides Chronological. What a revelation! I always liked the books but had lent my books to a friend who only recently returned them in perfect condition some 30yrs later. 🙄😂

Le Basic Roleplaying, c’est comme une vieille boîte de mécano. Dedans, on retrouve toujours les mêmes boulons. Les pourcentages, les jets de résistance, les compétences qui montent après utilisation. Du coup, on a vite l’impression que n’importe quel univers BRP peut glisser vers un autre. Epic Pooh – Michael Moorcock on the state of fantasy literature, originally written in the 1970s but updated for the 21st century. The title comes from comparing the style of Lord of the Rings to Winnie the Pooh. I have no problem reading and enjoying both his work and Tolkien’s, and it doesn’t bother me that Phillip Pullman dislikes Tolkien’s work as well.

It's been a very long time, but I think I've read most if not all of these stories before, but in their broken out forms (i.e. not as part of a "volume").
I happened to stumble across these on bookshop.org, and that was all it took.
