Less is more.

A quiet sunset sky, no sun in sight—just a smooth gradient shifting from deep blue into warm orange and red. In the top left, a final phase of the Moon watches over the scene. Two airplanes cross paths, their contrails forming a subtle “X” across the sky. Nothing extraordinary on its own… but together, a composition that simply feels right.

Moments like this remind me that photography isn’t always about rare subjects. Sometimes it’s about seeing alignment—light, timing, and geometry coming together for just a second.

A small scientific note: there is no true “dark side” of the Moon. The far side receives just as much sunlight as the side we see. It only appears hidden because the Moon is tidally locked to Earth. Interestingly, that far side is far more heavily cratered due to its greater exposure.

Captured with my Canon 5DS R and Sigma 24–70 Art, 47mm, f/2.8, 1/500 sec, ISO 320.

Photography, after all, is just another way of studying light and life.

Loving the moon 🌕

I've always been fascinated by the moon. Somehow, I just love the way it makes me feel. No matter how big, or small, when I see the moon, I feel more relaxed. If I'd ever have the money and the expertise, I would not mind owning a nice telescope 🔭 that would offer the option to add a camera to it... The moon, the universe... 🌌 I just am fascinated by it... It's never been a "special interest", as in, I've never dug deep into all the information about it. For me, it's more just the way it looks and how it makes me feel. I also enjoy the sun, but the moon, it's usually there when the night time is here, when the world is more peaceful and calm... And that soothes me more... […]

The Moon is the only natural satellite of the Earth and is located at a distance of about 3,84,400 kilometers. Its diameter is about 3,474 kilometers, which is about one-fourth the diameter of the Earth. Due to the absence of atmosphere on the Moon, there is a huge difference in the temperature between day and night, which can be about 127°C during the day and -173°C at night.

2️⃣It affects water even more, creating tides and causing the oceans to pile up towards one side of the planet, forming a ‘tidal bulge’. So, while we experience tides as the water moving in and out, it's *actually* the Earth itself rotating into and out of this bulge🤯. #moonfacts

if full moon is near #perigee (earth close) it's a "#supermoon" - 14% bigger & 30% brighter than "#micromoon" near #apogee (earth far).

America has already blown up the moon, it's just that it takes 800 years for the light to reach us #MoonFacts #RIPMoon
Our constant companion is the moon, Earth's sole natural satellite. It has circled our planet for billions of years, long before the first signs of life appeared in the oceans—long before Earth was cool enough to support oceans. However, its seemingly peaceful position in modern night skies stems from a remarkably turbulent past.
