Yesterday was #gameday! We only got to play three games, but that's OK. They were fun ones!
We started off with Carcassonne with the Great Britain map. I surprised by how different it felt with the constraints and multiple starting points. It was a lot of fun and made for a really tight game.
Later in the day we played a game of Paperback. I love this little word deck building game. It blends the two genres pretty well. My wordsmithing was on point, but my deck building lacked finesse.
We finished the night off with Moon Colony Bloodbath. This was a bizarre nightmare of a game. The players take on the role of colonists trying to establish livable habitats on the moon. Things start out nicely enough. Then, anything that can go wrong does go wrong, and it devolves into a struggle to not get everyone in your colony killed. It was insane! I loved the theme and I was laughing at every dark turn. However, one member of our group hated every second of it and actually stormed off. The game never rewards the players and constantly punishes. I'm not sure he understood that that was the point. But hey, not everything is for everyone.

Bei #TheIsofarianGuard stehen wir kurz vorm Ende der ersten Kampagne. Wir hoffen sie in der nächsten Session abzuschließen. Dann wird es erstmal ne kleine Pause geben, um ein paar vernachlässigten Schätzen bisschen table time zu gönnen und Messeloot gebührend zu würdigen. Vermutlich geht's dann im neuen Jahr weiter in Isofar.
#InnovationUltimate bleibt aktuell der haushohe Favorit bei uns zu Hause. Aktuell mit der "The Unseen" Erweiterung. Nach und nach infiziere ich auch meinen lokale Brettspielbubble mit dem Virus 😁
#MarimicTheMusicalTimemachine konnte seinen etwas durchwachsenen ersten Eindruck zum Besseren wenden, zündet halt zu zweit für uns nicht wirklich.
#PinaColadice war ein kleiner Überraschungserfolg zu Hause. Die clevere und schön präsentierte Mischung aus Vier gewinnt und Kniffel kam bei https://social.vivaldi.net/@Eshmun2 (herzlich willkommen auf Mastodon!) sehr gut an.
#DieVerlorenenRuinenVonArnak konnte ich zum ersten Mal am Tisch spielen. Während ich online das Spiel nie wirklich verstanden habe, hab ich die erste offline Partie direkt gewonnen. Und das bei vier Spielern. Das hat mich selbst am meisten überrascht 😁
#MoonColonyBloodbath habe ich nun zweimal gespielt. Ist recht witzig und spielt sich ausgesprochen flott, fast schon ohne #Downtime
