It would also be nice if #Canada would get on board with making the Amtrak Vermonter the Amtrak #Montrealer again.

Many people don't realize that the easiest and cheapest way to fly from Vermont without a car is to take the Amtrak to NYC or Philly, then the regional rail (NJ Transit or SEPTA) to EWR or PHL airports, even if you have to stay in a hotel overnight, and fly out the next day (because you get in so late that a flight the next day is often a better option).

On the other hand, if Vermont joined Canada, maybe we'd finally get rail service working to Montreal, again. It's been out of service for decades, and my understanding is that the problem is Canada refusing to budget the money to fix the rails on their side of the border.
