Watching #MonsieurSpade, with Clive Owen and quite a few Frenchmen. Maybe there's no way to play Spade without referencing Bogart. Anyway, now I gotta watch "The Maltese Falcon" again -- and also find this #BurnsAndAllen episode -- not necessarily in that order
Jim BlissJust finished watching the 6-part mini-series, Monsieur Spade. As a massive fan of Dashiell Hammett's work, I went in feeling pretty sceptical. But it won me over fairly quickly and in the end I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it. Well worth a watch.
Trigger warnings for violence and a scene of implied sexual assault though.
