Still experimenting with monochromatic portraits 💜

Drawn with the remains of a coloured pencil from my first year of school which I found in a drawer. 🥹

The reference was a statue with blank eyes. It creeped me out, so I added irises.

X-Mint.

Luckily, the HD worked again and I'm able to post today! (phew)
If you recall, I've made a shot of a branch of mint combining UV and visible light into one image. Here, I've picked one of the UV images and I had a plan to convert it to B&W, but with some twitching in the tones, it became like an x-ray image of some arm or something. Wasn't my intention first, but liked it and kept it as is. It seems also the image (which I've used to merge with the colored version) is shaky when I look at the tips; but maybe the flowers are just fluffy? 🤷🏻‍♂️

The Branch.

Posted in 3D yesterday, and now I'm posting the B&W version (not sure about the colored version - doesn't look interesting to me).
What's interesting about this shot is the fact that I water the plants every day, and I've never noticed this branch of lemon going high up. I've been focusing on the pots (or tubs) to see where to sprinkle the water for it to reach the soil, and didn't notice how high the plants (specifically this one) are. It was somewhat a "serendipity" moment (if I can call it so?) - looking back, I guess it did many great things even though I don't feel like it. Or so I hope.
The shot was converted to B&W after a long work with the tones, and finally tinted with "Golden Silver" color (hex: C9C2A3). I think the sun's direction was dramatic (which is good in general) but didn't quite help in this corner of the house. This is why most of the leaves are shaded.
