Catching Up and Wildlife Wonders Near Nürnberg
Meeting friends near Nürnberg provided the perfect chance to visit Nürnberg Zoo together, a place beloved by all. Enjoying the seamless beauty of the zoo’s landscape, I found moments to photograph some wildlife while cherishing conversation and connection, reflecting on the balance between capturing memories and living them.

Mongoose! There were many others out of shot, which I deeply feel should be described as mongeese, but I think are mongooses (we had quite a lengthy conversation about this at the time).

In the afternoon session it was Alastair's Lay of Hob Freeborn, a folklore enthused tale of peasant uprising with a dark secret at its core. Again, not too enthused by the system but the play was again good and the mystery very well conceived and delivered. I'm glad I eventually got to play Dragon Warriors but I'm not sure I'll go looking for it again.

The six DW paperbacks have sat on my shelf for 40 years but there was a 40th anniversary celebration of the game yesterday in a London pub so I thought I'd give it a go. The original GM was indisposed so no RQ flavoured DW but John stepped in a ran a good game during which my assassin caused trouble and killed things in a no so abandoned evil temple. The system is mostly combat and a bit slow for me, but the play was fun.

I'm not sure I've played Traveller this century, and not since GURPS 3e, back when I was an MiB. We're doing Mysteries on Arcturus station and our tradecraft seems pretty on point. Shame our rolls aren't up to it. The best-laid schemes o' Vargr an' Aslan gang aft agley. But it's great to be back onboard a Rogue Trader.
“#Suricata” seemed familiar but could not remember the context. Found — https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suricata — that it “is a genus of mongoose” AND #mongoose https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mongoose & #meerkat https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meerkat are related!
