Momocon was very fun but also tiring. Met a lot of cool artists and it was my first 4 day con!
Momocon was very fun but also tiring. Met a lot of cool artists and it was my first 4 day con!
Home from the very first Wonder Festival US at #Momocon 2026 and exhausted in the most fulfilling way.
So many people who’ve never heard of us gave us so much love and support, listening to our tales of revolutionary joy and play, nodding along as we talked about people creating art for people instead of corporations creating content for consumers, jumping in to complete our statements in vehement agreement with us and sending their friends over later to also see what we were up to.
Kids and parents and 20somethings and older folks, from all different fandom groups, all finding commonality with our flavor of socially conscious fun even as we were surrounded by all the trappings of the latest corporate rehash sequels.
I am filled with joy from sharing our joy with others and even more from them going to share the joy with even more folks.
It was a really good weekend, y’all. Really good on so many levels.
I’ll talk more about stuff tomorrow, I’m sure, but for now, it’s time to relax and drift off to sleep.

Another great day at #Momocon today!
Met awesome folk, showed them what we’re about, and sent a bunch of them back into the world with some of our toys and comics and videogames and posters and t-shirts and ceramics and stickers, all carrying our messages about revolutionary joy and community.
Feels so good, y’all!
But at the same time, this old body aches something fierce rn, so I am off to bed.
More tomorrow from the final day of Momocon 2026 before I sleep through the first half of next week.
