We’ve been bouncing all over the map this week.

Started at Camp Souveraineté on Nehirowisiw territory, standing with land defenders holding down the line against colonial logging.

Then dropped down to Kanehsatake, Mohawk territory, reconnecting with warriors still rooted in a long, unbroken tradition of resistance.

From there, we headed back north to Wemotaci, where we linked up with the Gardien·nes du Territoire — watching them keep close surveillance on the CN rail lines, blocking shipments of stolen wood. Successfully. It was heartening. Brought us right back to the energy of #ShutdownCanada in 2020. That fire is still burning.

🎥 Stay tuned for our upcoming doc: Guardians of the Land.

What connects a Mohawk kid diving into the river at Kanehsatake with Palestinian boys leaping into the Mediterranean in Acre?

Joy.
Freedom.
Resistance.

This short scene from our upcoming film A Red Road to the West Bank draws a line between two colonized lands, two childhoods, and one shared spirit: claiming moments of life, even when the world tries to take them away.
