I blended some of the mohair, silk, and Wnsleydale.

IT WAS AWFUL!

I'm not wasting silk on something I'm not happy with.

So I sulked for a bit, then decided to spin some of the mohair on its own. I'm happy now.

It's hard, but not so hard it's a ballache. Kind of just concentraty enough.

Anyway, I should have enough of the dyed stuff to make a hat.

I've ordered more mohair fleece, enough to make a jumper! :))

Project Kid Silk Mohair Shawl has officially started, foundation chain down and triple checked for correct number of chains, first row half finishes, forgot to count had to frog it VERY SLOWLY AND CAREFULLY and am now redoing it, making doubly sure to count everything, putting in stitch markers every 25 stitches and double checking every time i reach a marker.
This is very much not how i normally work, I am usually a big believer of 'Eh close enough' and fudging it, but this is such a precious material and I am making it to wear at my wedding so I really want it to be Properly made, you know?

Ah it's gonna be so pretty when it's done 🤩
