At the moment we have a wave of #loveScam #AI fake accounts: Tom, pardon, tom, can't write his name correctly and is a German speaking woman loving god ... or a Russian bot or whatever lovescam bots may love.
#Report such accounts before blocking: they get rather quickly suspended by our #moderators and so you help to keep Mastodon free of crap.

I mod a few communities here and I was wondering if there were any kind of analytical tools available to track engagement, post frequency, comment frequency, trends, etc. I scrolled through the last year’s worth of posts here and I didn’t find anything along those lines. A search engine did not provide anything but maybe I’m using the wrong terms.
X-Twitter I was surprised however and simply cannot understand, besides the privacy-issue, why so many people on the Fediverse have an issue with it. There's level-headed, centre discourse and posts from business leaders, something definitely missing in the Fediverse; the moderators do not appear to interfere with people defending themselves against sexism and misandry - which is a huge problem with the often biased moderators in the Fediverse.

Last week I had to babysit the social media accounts from my employer.
Instagram and Facebook are an absolute nightmare and mindf*ck and I don't envy our social media manager.

#Fedi #PSA: My last message garnered a spam from a bot, claiming I would get $$ for posts receiving more than 10 likes.
Any bot offering money for popularity is almost certainly spying on the #Fediverse.
#Fedizens: is there an appropriate response to this kind of action? Yes, I blocked @verifnoootiff at mastodon.world. But who is running it? and why?
