Etheredge is once again stepping forward to serve. After a heartfelt conversation with her, it’s clear that her desire for change is not just talk—it’s a mission rooted in purpose, experience, and service.
Kalla Etheredge is not your typical political candidate. She brings a fresh, independent voice to the table—one that understands how to get things done. Her passion for public service stems from her lived experiences and a lifelong commitment to uplifting vulnerable communities.
Why Kalla Etheredge?
As a nonpartisan candidate and community activist, Etheredge has consistently worked at the grassroots level to promote civic engagement, social justice, and equitable access to resources. Her leadership style is built on collaboration, compassion, and action.

Kalla Etheredge’s work has extended far beyond city limits. Her community involvement spans both local and national movements, including:
Community Action Organizers (Mobile, AL) – Aiding Gulf Coast communities during crisis situations and natural disasters, particularly those most economically marginalized.
The Poor People’s Campaign (Mobile, AL & Washington, D.C.) – Mobilizing a fusion coalition to uplift poor and impacted communities. The campaign focuses strongly on Lower Alabama.
Women’s March (Mobile, AL) – Organized a local day of action aligned with the national movement for women’s rights and political empowerment.
Black Feminist Future (Washington, D.C.) – Led over 20,000 citizens in a peaceful march at the steps of the Supreme Court. The march supported reproductive justice.
Professional Experience & Education
With over six years of experience in nonprofit leadership, community organizing, and K-12 education, Etheredge brings a multifaceted approach to her leadership. She currently holds a Master’s Degree in Criminology (with High Distinction). She earned this degree from Loyola University New Orleans and is actively seeking a director-level role in higher education to continue making a difference on a broader scale.
As Program Manager at the Foley Center for Community Service, Etheredge:
Coordinated student recruitment and scheduling
Developed and assessed community-based programs
Provided curriculum support and instruction
Managed the Community ESL program and after-school tutoring for middle school students
Her Vision for Prichard
Kalla’s original campaign, Etheredge for Everyone, was more than a slogan—it was a movement for political education, community unity, accountability, and transparent governance. Those same values continue to guide her platform today.
Now, she’s running to help improve the City of Prichard, focusing on urgent issues like:
Community safety
Transparent leadership
Increased civic engagement
Local government reform
