Maron walked up the steps to check out some bushes on a spot along this wall. She started walking along the wall and I was wonderig how she'd handle the gap when it came up. The gap helped by giving me time to get in front of her for a photo of Aoshima in her background.. She jumped off the wall just fine. Someties she waits for me to carry her out of the car or off a wall, but maybe that's just when she wants some attention or something. Animals can be complicated too..

Aoshima beach area with Maron. Some of the best bread (and Chai, and conversation) anywhere at Pan Cafe Ao... Maron likes the yard here too, she could jump and eat worms and grasshoppers here. And she met a nice 14yo Jack Russel Terrier that came with the bread-maker cafe young woman that makes Pan Cafe Ao work so well...

Maron at the beach and in the ocean for her first time. She seemed to like it. The little waves didn't bother her. Over the last month or so she started going into the river and that may have got her ready for the ocean. She was good, no trouble at all...

Cute crab at the beach.
Maron, the Shiba dog, thought the crab was cute too. Maron tried to eat the crab, but the whole situation seemed playful and affectionate. The crab probably didn't enjoy the time as much as Maron seemed to but eventually they went on their separate ways unharmed.
