I've been thinking about how, in some theologies at least, the Spirit was and is at work in bringing about greater equality and justice for the enslaved, those exploited by class or gender ... is there not an element of 'the voice of the people is the voice of God'? This would derive from considering God's Spirit is at work. If so, sometimes the signs would be seen among people movements and demands for change resting on a degree of subliminal awareness of God's justice and love for creation.
I'm also thinking that the Spirit may be in the (collective) aspiration. But sometimes the devil is in the detail ... -and that points up a discernment issue for Christians. Check out the article
