Ended up playing "Minute of Islands" on the Switch last night. You're trying to save some islands in a game that visually is a mix of Adventure Time and Yellow Submarine, with the teensiest dash of H.R. Giger, all while exploring the main character's past, uncovering happy childhood memories like "Mo remembered coming here every summer, before the fungal spores killed everything. Fun times."

Bought and beat Minute of Islands. It was very informed by the pandemic, and very German. But beautiful and melancholy. Was worth the $2USD on sale.

Though I never figured out if it was minute of minute.

Mo is mood.

A truly beautiful game about your self image and poisonous thoughts. Or are you getting something else out of it? #Gris

After #MinuteofIslands, it’s another work of art that depicts self-hatred and self-pity so beautifully. Very recommended.

Yeah, no #DiabloIV yet. It’s so repetitive. Maybe it will click later?

@iieksi Or maybe it’s the lesson that it’s very hard to overcome illness like this.

Or that the very world is ill too, no matter how hard you try yourself. But, if you manage to let go of the feeling of control on how ill the world is, you at least get to spend time with loved ones?

Thinking about it, #MinuteofIslands really is intriguing!

@iieksi That’s sad to hear, hope you get better (Can I say this? I’m not sure).

Neat that you loved #MinuteofIslands too. I got out of it that the main character felt overly responsible, mistrusted others, and needed to let go - but the releasing of the toxic air after she does let go, has me confused. Is there a main takeaway or lesson in it for you?
