Former Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman, her husband Mark, and their golden retriever, Gilbert, will lie in state at Minnesota's Capitol Rotunda on Friday. The three were shot in what authorities say was a politically motivated killing on June 14. A private funeral will take place on Saturday. 57-year-old Vance Boelter faces state and federal murder charges for the shootings. He will appear in court on Friday — at present he is jailed and has not entered a plea.
