Unseasonably warm the past couple days. With the snow melting fast, the roads and bike/walk paths were mostly clear. First rides of 2026. Gonna shoot for 2,000 miles this year, and I’m 1.5 percent of the way there.

But, we have a lot of winter left, and more snow on the way. So it might be a while until I’m back in the saddle.

Minnesota = Weather Whiplash.

@rationaldoge Hennepin in Uptown was a shambles for a year as they redid the entire avenue. Tough for car & even bike traffic; a mild inconvenience for pedestrians.

They re-opened it in early December, and it’s awesome.

Look out Lyndale…you’re next. Gonna be shitty during construction, but, like Hennepin, better when it’s done.

Seems like we're closing in on another foot of snow since Monday. That'll learn me for tuning up the gravel bike and putting away the xc skis and fat-tire bike.
