Let's restore the principal of Ministerial Responsibility - not to the extent that Anika Wells is investigated for bureaucratic manslaughter but to the extent that any minister who has failed to take reasonable steps to protect the public, when these steps have been clearly placed before them, will be moved to the back bench for the rest of their parliamentary career.

Amanda was the Minister for a department that first "deported" a mentally ill Australian citizen to live a life of neglect and poverty in the Philippines, then learnt of its error and did nothing.

She, as the minister, did of course take full responsibility for this brutal inaction - not.
