IMHO der #CitroenAmi / #OpelRocksE & #RenaultTwizy funktionierencgut für Leute die nur ne Klasse AM haben und mangels #ÖPNV und langer Distanzen was fahrendes brauchen, bspw. Azubis <U18 aufm Land die mehr als nen Roller brauchen…

Instead of pushing for the #Enfattening of #cars and subsequent #Enshittification with literal #ransomware by putting heating and rear-wheel - steering behind a #subscription-based #paywall the #CarIndustry needs to fucking learn from #Japan and take a look at #KeiCars!

• For those who don't know, a #KeiCar is basically a #PersonalLightVehicle with a restricted build volume & power output dictated by maximum dimensions and displacement and #engineers in #Japan really took that and basically build everything from a sleek "#DriftMachine" to a "#MiniVan" to a "#MiniTruck"...

I mean I did unsarcastically play the #TokyoDrift Soundtrack driving @fuchsiii 's #Datsun1200 LGBY which is extra hillarious since it's a #Minitruck that tops out at ~ 90km/h when floored on the Autobahn on a flat straight, so one gets rather honked by big trucks with trailers than actually drift with that front engine, rear wheel drive body-on-frame truck what is literally offering an "unfiltered driving experience":

• no power steering
• no catalytic converter
• no ABS
• no ESP
• no Airbag
• no traction control
• no parking assistant
• no automatic choke

But it's cool…

OFC the even better thing would be to avoid drives as much as possible and install #FTTH / #Fiber into every home and let as many people work remotely as they can.

• Cuz we know how to do that since 1981!

Not to mention the economies of scale that a (i.e. PICNIC) #Minitruck delivering food to dozens if not a hundred households in a single shift has compared to cars.

• OFC their start/stop use-cases are more conducive and their mileage way lower than most cars, so they can easily get away with slow-charging after the shift ends.

As for #ConflictMinerals, just reducing overall consumption if we cannot use them is the way to go.

• Which again means lesser and smaller vehicles!
