Last photo of the shop. He actually had 3 versions of the #pcengine mini! Even the TG16 one. I would love to have the Core Grafx version, but the price was too high for me. NTD 7850 for the Core, NTD6200 for the PCE and no price for the TG16. All 3 were new in box. #miniconsole #retrogaming

Finished making the #shmup collection #pcengine #miniconsole. All (Japanese) pc-engine shoot'em-ups are on it with Japanese names, without missing characters. The font map I made to include the extra characters should be included in the next release of Project Chronos. #hudsonsoft #retrogaming

Edited the font files of the #pcengine mini and added the missing characters to it. Still need to redo the katakana and hiragana, they are still a little off. And used the wrong coords for the "kai" kanji. @chriscovell.bsky.social thanks for spotting the problem :)

Working! No patience to wait for the microUSB OTG splitter cable so I just put the games on a micro SD and an USB SD card reader in the 2P front USB port. It works. I have added about 2/3 of all #pcengine HuCard #shmups now with cover art and JP title names as well. Let's play a bit :)

Next up the USB joypad for the #pcengine mini, also made by #hori of course. Last one, I promise. Nothing fancy, just one IC. It is so similar to the original controller, maybe they even used the same mold. No through hole caps sticking out of the pcb though :) #miniconsole

Let's continue with the Multi Tap that #hori made for the #pcengine mini. Unlike the controllers, the multitap is not the same size as the original, it's a bit smaller. What will we find inside? #miniconsole
