New version for X-Decor-libre released!

Wool and straw from #MinetestGame are now cuttable in the workbench (again), like they were in the original xdecor mod.

Plus, the translation system has been reworked to fix problems with poor grammar of cut nodes.

Just sent my proposal to #NLnet's #ngi0commons to create a #Luanti #game to help with #Mozilla #CommonVoice clips validation.

The deadline is end of the current month. They should reply about the first round in the beginning August. And I should get a reply about the second round mid September.

It's about 300 hours of work, in the worst case. If things go smooth, I should have minimal working version for the White Cane Safety day which is on 15th October. And by end of the November, the first version is ready.

And all these are given that NLnet will give me the funding seeing my project valuable, and also not minding working with someone based in #Iran...

After lots and lots of waiting and trying out multiple different things regarding single window recording in #OBS  on #Wayland  running #labwc  there is now a solution in place I can work with.

I wrote a wrapper script (see here) that does the following things when added as #pipemenu in labwc and I click the menu entry to create the output.

  • Add a virtual output
  • Use wlr-randr to set the geometry
  • Use swaybg to set the wallpaper
  • Send an update signal to a custom #Waybar module
  • I can now start #OBS and can add a #PipeWire screen recording and select the output (I have to do it blindly by just moving the cursor outside my actual display, because there is no menu, but that’s fine).

    For what I’m doing the performance of the OBS preview is fast enough so I simply move the cursor over to the virtual output and use it “inside OBS”.

    When I’m done, I invoke the script again, by clicking the remove entry which is dynamically shown if the output is active.

  • Remove the output
  • Remove “the output’s swaybg instance”
  • Send an update signal to a custom Waybar instance
  • Until individual-window recording will be possible this is a good workaround.

    My first automatic treefarm in #minetest (#MinetestGame with the mods technic, mesecons, pipeworks and bonemeal).
    To not having the machine stuck I check with detectors for air, sapling or tree and accordingly trigger a [clock-signal](http://mt.qzx.com/luacontroller_programs/pulse-on-clock.lua) to place a sapling, apply mulch or apply the chainsaw.
