Thursday this week was Red kite day at the house, where this one kept circling back to hover-glide over our garden and the nextdoor field, in search of food. Unfortunately, it was out of luck, and in the end, glided off to somewhere hopefully more bountiful. The grace and agility of these birds on the wing is quite simply breathtaking. Had it not been for work, I could have watched it for hours.
