@Richard_Littler I was just posting about #milesinthesky, which I'm hearing for the first time. really digging -- Since I love Silent Way and Bitches Brew, it's not that surprising, I just never got to this one before. Have you read the Ian Carr bio? I'm really enjoying it. I didn't enjoy #Miles's autobiography/memoir, it just made me sad, though I appreciated it (I read it many years ago, it might be more approachable for me now). I'm benefiting from getting a more objective perspective. Of course its's wonderful to be able to pull up everything he references on spotify, a few minutes after reading about it (as I did with Stuff)
(now with hashtags!) I'm just discovering #MilesintheSky, #MilesDavis's 1969 record. I have long known Bitches Brew and In a Silent Way, from the same period. This one is a little more structured, but has similar feel, bridging the divide between #jazz & R&B. I'm really enjoying it. thanks to #IanCarr's detailed biography of #Miles https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/miles-davis-ian-carr/1102976940 #fusion
