Use of 'colonised' is particularly disgusting.
As a character in a David Edgar said,
"We are here because you were there'.

Not that Starmer, who feeds the migration moral panic, can give lessons here.

PM asks Sir Jim Ratcliffe to apologise for saying UK 'colonised by immigrants'

Sir Keir Starmer says comments by the businessman and Manchester United co-owner are "offensive and wrong".

If I understand correctly, the contracts for housing asylum-serkers in ramshackle hotels (because they can't work or access benefits) are open to rip-offs by hotel owners and the taxi firms contracted to do the transport.
So the people badly served are now further demonised and will mostly be denied help to get to health appointments.
Further demonisation.
Correct me if that's wrong because the news hasn't been very clear. BBC radio 4 played a part in this.

Google Has Chosen a Side in Trump's Mass Deportation Effort

Google is hosting a CBP app that uses facial recognition to identify immigrants, while simultaneously removing apps that report the location of ICE officials because Google sees ICE as a vulnerable group. “It is time to choose sides; fascism or morality? Big tech has made their choice.”

RMT transport workers at No 10 demand end to deportation threat

RMT took its campaign to protect its members from losing their visa status directly to Downing Street today.Hundreds of staff working across Transport for London and the wider rail network could face deportation under recent changes to Skilled Worker visa rules.Despite holding permanent contracts and working in key front-line roles, increases in salary thresholds and the removal of key transport roles from the skilled visa list mean the workers may be forced to leave the country.

Stop this fake migrant panic

LABOUR’S failure to tackle the “manufactured panic” around immigration was exposed today as new polling showed just one in four people think it’s important in their community.Only 26 per cent of people included immigration and asylum among the three most important issues facing them locally. This was half the 52 per cent who ranked it as one of the biggest issues facing the country as a whole.

Campaigners slam Labour’s ‘cruel’ plan to move asylum-seekers into military camps

CAMPAIGNERS yesterday slammed Labour’s plan to open more military camps to house asylum-seekers as a “pointlessly cruel and costly” move.Doctors Without Borders (MSF) was commenting on Westminster’s plan to expand the use of military barracks for people seeking asylum. Defence minister Luke Pollard said the government is planning for further military bases to be used to house asylum-seekers after the Home Office confirmed on Monday that two barracks in Scotland and southern England would be used to house about 900 men temporarily.

Immigration and crime: we need to bust the myths

MALADROIT is the term most accurately applied to Sir Keir Starmer’s regime. In its political DNA is the tendency to veer to the right and for a party supposedly devoted to the parliamentary representation of the labouring classes this is proving fatal. Possibly even the Caerphilly by-election has not plumbed the depths to which Labour might fall in the estimation of voters. Two interlinked questions are particularly important in judging just how skewed is No 10’s understanding.
