Today is #WorldRefugeeDay and what better way to celebrate than to be at Brighton's Jubilee Library Refugee Week event with amazing music from Kurdistan, Afghanistan, Senegal and Ukraine. What a lovely space of solidarity and hope. We are all migrants & have been refugees. My community of Parsi Zoroastrians arrived as refugees in India (about 1000 years ago), were welcomed and subsequently flourished. We witness the opposite today. Every refugee worldwide should be able to realise their full potential and have their basic rights protected rather than be penalised and criminalised.
