O Christ our God, who at all times and at every hour is worshipped and glorified both in heaven and on earth, Who is long suffering, Who is all-merciful, Who is ever-compassionate, Who loves the just, and Who shows mercy to the sinners, Who calls all to salvation through the promise of good things to come. The same Lord, receive at this time our supplications and direct our lives according to Your commandments. Sanctify our souls; purify our bodies; set our thoughts straight; cleanse our thoughts; and deliver us from all distress, evil, and grief. Surround us with Your holy Angels, so that guided and guarded by them we may attain to the unity of the faith, and to the comprehension of Your ineffable glory; for You are blessed, to the ages of ages.
