If you didn't know already:

Don't trust search engines.

I just had #Bing and #MicrosoftCoPilot generate a fake review of a non-existent movie, about two non-existent characters that are themselves flukes of AI/LLM systems, whose concept only existed in the mind of Charlie Stross.

It gave the movie 4/5 stars and explained why we should probably go to see it.

@[email protected] The best part, given what news/magazine reviewers have had to suffer today, is that they can write the reviews ahead of the movie even being made, or even greenlit. Google's AI refused; but I just asked #Bing to write a review and #MicrosoftCopilot just did so. It gives the movie 4/5 stars. @zoul jinak to že se bojíš přechodu je pochopitelné.
Ale vyhledávače se zlepšují. Například #MicrosoftBing a #DuckDuckGo byli ještě tak před rokem naprosto neschopné vyhledávat nějaké české podniky. Teď už jsou oba vyhledávače v tomto ohledu mnohem lepší.
Duckduckgo má ale stále co dohánět.

Almost any crap that Windows 11 takes out of its rabbit hat can be explain in one sentence:

Windows 11 was taken over by the Bing Search department.

That start to make sense when you see how Bing incorporated Copilot, hence Windows. Start page with News? Now your OS has News too. Recall? Like "History Back" of the browser at OS level.
