I'm finding myself triggered by microagressions.

How do you handle it?

#microagressions #antisemitism #MentalHealth

(Examples are just mentioned because I believe many people don't understand that that's what they are doing, when they are saying/writing those things.)

No discrimination against:

* mentally diverse people (no "voting for fascists is insane/crazy")

* people with non-normative intelligence, or who have been excluded from good education (no "nazis are stupid")

* people with non-normative body types (no "look at Trump's fat ass" or "Musk's tiny dick cars")

* people traumatized by sexualized violence (no "fck nzs")

* disabled people (no "nazis are... [okay I really hope I don't have to give an example here]")

I share my story and background if and when I feel comfortable doing so.

For over 3 decades now, I have been asked almost every day, sometimes several times a day: ''Where are you from?'' Imagine being question about your personal life by strangers every day of your life.

To clarify my previous statement: everytime someone ask me ''Where are you from?'' because of my accent, they remind me that I am not from here, that I don't belong here. I am an immigrant, not a Canadian. Sorry but I identify as Canadian.

If I respond to that question, the interrogation starts: when, how and why I moved here, and how about my family. I am not comfortable providing personal information to someone I just met. When I refuse to respond, people get mad.

Bref. J'en suis encore pas bien. #MicroAgressions

The society as a whole—or more specific: His classmates—display #homophobia and #microagressions intentional or unintentional in various forms and intensities. They behave hostile to him, but after all, they are NPCs and are not distinct from each other. So I wouldn't exactly call that 'evil'.
