DoomsdaysCWConfession time... I had a corporate job for a while in the 1990s (after I didn't get a job with #IPPNW, but got to meet #HelenCaldicott and #MichioKaku). At that corporate job, I learned html code, how to break into firewalls, and got to know coders from many countries (including #Pakistan and #China). And what was the most important lesson for me? Is that we are all HUMAN BEINGS living on PLANET EARTH! And also that corporations are inherently EVIL and cannot be reformed. They are all about advertising and greenwashing (yes, even back in the 1990s). I was laid off because I called out a CEO on his BULLSHIT (and oddly enough, not fired -- because probably he knew I was right). Anyhow, I thought I could change things from within. I did learn a lot about hacking and made a stink. But yeah. My soul still hurts from that stint.
