Kyle MeredithMini Mansions have spent over a decade shaking off the “side project” label, and #MichaelShuman, who plays bass in #QueensoftheStoneAge, sounds both amused and annoyed about it. Their album Guy Walks Into a Bar… was written “in real time” during a doomed relationship, features #AlisonMosshart and Queens’ Jon Theodore, and closes with a song the rest of the band didn’t even want on it.
“It’s a real band. Hopefully people get that,” Shuman tells me.
