I definitely want to read this book, after watching #MichaelBurns talk about it on his channel and then interviewing #SarahSteinLubrano. I'm also looking forward for her next upcoming book on #loneliness, #family, #sociallife and so on, on which she seems to be shading light in as provocative way as in her first book.

This book «Don't talk about politics» already recommanded by #MichaelBurns seems to be an absolute read, if we believe his discussion with the author #SarahSteinLubrano. One basic tennet sticking with me is the claim that #reason, #facts and #debates almost never change people's mind on politic. What do are changes within their local social environment, and this happens through mostly #afk #socialization. #Digital tools can help boost it, but they rarely create it.
This reminds me of this recent video by #MichaelBurns, former host of #Wisecrack, about a recently-published book entitled "Don't talk about #politics", by Sarah Stein Lubrano, which addresses the issue of how we might get lost in endless pointless online or TV/Radio debates, in which the necessity of contradictory discussion for a lively #democracy becomes a mere empty posture, just to give the illusion one actually cares about the issues at stake.
