Got Vicko the Very Nice Exercise Wheel the hamster people are always on about. It's a bit large (ok comically large) for him, but he's finding his stride.

This is what trackpad scrolling versus scroll wheel scrolling looks like on iPad (after spending a lot of time trying to optimize scroll wheel settings). It still doesn't look or feel great, but it was a lot worse with the default settings.

Regarding Logitech scrolling issues with iPads, I found the advice of this article helpful. Scrolling improved a bit after following these steps, but it's still not buttery smooth like trackpad scrolling.
