Sports car racing in the closed off city streets of London, Tokyo & San Francisco.

If we think of the racing games this inspired, it was latterly remade for the OG Xbox, where it became Project Gotham Racing.

And... indirectly, elements of the Forza series too.

So... there are some, fairly reasonable, racing games that owe themselves to this.
