Metro 2033 was still fun the second time - I remember it being longer the first time, but maybe it was because everything was new and I was exploring and investigating. According to my achievements, I played in Survival mode the first time and this time was Spartan, maybe that has an effect.
It doesn't look quite as good on the steam deck, but it also doesn't punish the battery the way that many less-good-looking games do. ๐คท I thought I remembered the final scene with the Dark Ones differently, but maybe I'm conflating it with the book.
One thing I like is that NPCs often take an active role - someone will lead you someplace, or you're working with a squad or whatever, and they actually do useful things and aren't just there in the way.
Anyway, definitely still worth a play in The Year of Our Apocalypse 2026
