A new #study has #redated the #origins of the #Macedonian #kingdom from the 7th to the #6th century BC. #Methodologically, the reconstruction is based on ancient textual sources and archaeological evidence from #burialsites in Lower #Macedonia. The history of this kingdom is significant because a famous member of this dynasty, #AlexandertheGreat, fundamentally altered the history of parts of Eurasia through his legendary campaigns and the conquest of Persia.© this text #StefanFWirth January 2026
