Just finished reading Anthony Marra’s sprawling novel about midcentury émigrés in Hollywood. Pumping with humor and heart—I loved it.
I could also tell Marra had a blast writing it, or it sure seemed like it (which isn’t a major criterion for me, but it’s fun nonetheless).
