Just a wee reminder on the eve of Trump's visit to #Scotland

@benroyce @Kierkegaanks

I'd never heard of him until the onset of the #Menie events, but other than that, yes. Nothing has surprised me since I saw a speech he gave in 2012, and the deranged response of some in the audience. But humiliation has no known upper bound. Thing is, humiliation does not by itself kill you and may be one of the few things that can make you stronger.

@theferret Part of the planning agreement for the #Menie development was that an environmental expert group (MEMAG) would be set up to oversee compliance with legal requirements like this recent breach of rules. #Trump decided this was too invasive and unilaterally collapsed this legal oversight.

I'm currently listening to #Trumped , the story of the controversial #Menie golf development in Aberdeenshire and how it was greenlit with shocking consequences. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0h9zh47

We've already seen the damage that billionaire #golf developers do in #Scotland, such as #Trump's #GolfCourse development at #Menie. Don't let the same happen to #CoulLinks.

This completely fantastic book by @aliciabruce arrived today, documenting the resistance and perseverance of residents of #Menie (#Aberdeenshire) to #Trump devastating the landscape and their livelihoods for a #golf course. I am delighted to have supported her Kickstarter to get this underway, and will be getting another copy for my father’s birthday soon. Do look it up - she has copies for sale!
