In other news, I have finished reinforcing my thinning socks with my grandma's old mending wool. I called it "satisfyingly repetitive" when I showed my partner the results. It's been giving me some profound #autisticJoy with added benefit of prolonging those socks's life.

My new mending project! I'm working on some worn out socks my grandma has knitted for me many years ago. I think I caught it at the right moment where the thread was thinned out but there weren't any holes ripped yet. It's very nice to simply retrace the stitched with the mending yarn! Very meditative! I picked the yarn (inherited from my other granny) slightly different from the original to be able to tell the stitches apart more easily. #MendingNotBuying #Mending #KnittedSocks #AutisticJoy

It's darning day. I discovered a big hole at the sole of my handknitted socks, and it was time for my faithful Mashinka (my darning loom from Russia) again. And due to sock knitting i have plenty of scrap yarn for mending jobs. :)
