The Memorial Hermann Health System in Houston has reactivated its liver transplant program almost exactly a year after a surgeon admitted to manipulating a database to prevent patients from receiving new livers.

Memorial Hermann resumes liver transplant program following data manipulation scandal 

The Houston-based hospital system abruptly halted the program last year due to a “pattern of irregularities with donor acceptance criteria,” it said at the time.

17-year-old shot, injured during gunfire exchange with Houston police

The 17-year-old was shot and injured in the upper body. The 15-year-old only sustained a cut from the broken window. Skelton couldn't immediately say how many shots were fired.
