Banks Island is one of the larger members of the #ArcticArchipelago. Situated in the #InuvikRegion, and part of the #InuvialuitSettlementRegion, of the #NorthwestTerritories, it is separated from #VictoriaIsland to its east by the #PrinceOfWalesStrait and from the mainland by #AmundsenGulf to its south. The #BeaufortSea lies to its west, and to its northeast #MClureStrait separates the island from #PrincePatrickIsland and #MelvilleIsland.
