Great turnout supporting Melted Parents NI and #ChildcareReform. Three Green Party NI councillors - Barry McKee, Lauren Kendall, and Áine Groogan - joined the protest to support better childcare provision in Northern Ireland.

The people of Northern ireland deserve childcare support, that stops keeping families in a poverty trap. The Executive needs to stop penalising working parents and pay our childcare workers fairly for the important and skilled work they do.

The government needs to step forward, to value our workers. We need a childcare strategy with sufficient budget attached to make a difference for the working parents of NI and give the support they need to provide for their families.
