An intriguing building at #StKilda Junction, #Melbourne #Australia.

This design and build has polarised opinion of many #Melburnian’s since it’s completion in 2015.

It’s known as ‘The Icon’ or ‘Lego Building’. It stands at 56 metres tall, divided into six sectional levels…with varying (and may I say; ‘bright’) colours.

The Icon houses 119 apartments within its stacked boxes.

#Melburnian’s gather in love and appreciation of strangers (fellow #Australians and #newzealand-ers) of yesteryear, who made the ultimate sacrifice for us all.

These were a regular feature in most #Melburnian’s homes in the 60’s - 90’s and now of course!

They’re good ‘ol charming #Pelargonium, from the #geranium family

These are native to southern Africa in the western regions of the Cape Provinces and they do oh so well in our neck of the woods, too!

How delicate, yet paradoxically robust are these #roses, huh?

#Melburnian’s are being treated to a long #rose flowering season this year!

Pics were taken in Brighton earlier in the week in a #Brighton public garden, #Australia.

I love the subtle pinks that feature throughout the petals, on these otherwise predominantly white flowers.

They smelt fresh and aromatic. A typical subtle rose scent that takes me back to my childhood.
