The great Mel Blanc passed on 35 years ago today (July 10) in 1989, at 81 years of age. I was only 9 in 1989 and don't remember his passing, but at 9, I was probably already watching Looney Tunes on TV in the mornings.

Darrell Van Citters made this 'Speechless' tribute piece for Mel, and here is Mel's grave.
