ROMS that are older than 15 years should be made free to access. These are games that are not only old but the console they are from has long been discontinued. Some might argue that what if the devs want to make a re-release of these old game. Well Games on modern hardware should come with modern benefits. Perfect example is something like Raidou remastered. Though the game is still fundamentally alone the same. It has many more conveniences that the og didn't have and as a result is a better product. But the old one should still be pre served as it is part of Video game history. There are many people especially in the third world country who don't have money to buy games. As a result, they have to resort to piracy if they ever want to play them. Games that are new won't run on their hardware so they have to resort to old games. Making such ROMs free to access will give incredible good will to such people and if they are able to, they will buy their games once they have money
Let the rich enjoy the new games and let the people who are unable at least enjoy video game culture and not have them resort to micro transaction heavy games.
Culture should be for everyone not just for those who can afford it.
