End of Year Drama Challenge Day 30: was 2025 a good drama year for you?

Yes. Out of 53 I finished so far this year, 18 (34%) I rated as 9/10 or higher. 9 #cdrama, 8 #kdrama, and 1 #TWdrama

The ones I haven't mentioned so far this month:
#HommeFatale 9⭐️
#HelloMonster #RememberYou 9⭐️
#MeetYourself 9⭐️
#RebornRich 9.5⭐️

My two 10s were both from 2020: #Hyena and #WinterBegonia

Ah, I noticed I'm theoretically still in the middle of watching two dramas, #LoveEndures and #MeetYourself. Totally forgot. 😅

Still, maybe I'd like something more historical, more action.

#cdrama #MeetYourself

Omg, that grumpy old man hanging out at the construction site was there to PROTECT HER! 😂 Her biggest saviors were the elderly who aren't afraid to beat up bullies. 😂 Amazing.

#cdrama #MeetYourself

"She'll become useless if she stays with you," says an ass of a grandfather to his grandkid's mom WHILE THE CHILD IS AT THE SAME TABLE IN THE SAME CONVERSATION.

My dad once told me I was "raising a monster" because I didn't hit or yell at my kid. This guy's nonsense can go in the same parenting bin. 🚮 😤

#cdrama #MeetYourself

Wow, A'Yao is just grinning SO MUCH now that the "gorgeous babe" agreed to be his girlfriend. He is just GIDDY!

I don't know that I've seen Li Xian in a role where he smiled so much! It is hard to not grin right back.

#cdrama #MeetYourself

Ope, here come the waterworks. (My own.)

"Even my best friend's death barely made a difference to my life." The person who wrote this *knows* what it's like for life to just continue blandly on, even after a major loss.

"I think I'm not worthy of grieving her passing for so long." 😭

That worry: are you grieving too much or not enough? Were you flawless enough to be worthy of hurting from their loss?

I think my favorite part of the #cdrama #MeetYourself (on ep 12/40) is how they treat the grandmother character. She is capable, active, mentally participating in everything, not babied, a well-rounded character.

So often in dramas, grandmas are just there to pity, care about and die.

This lady is funny, flawed, an active participant in shenanigans... I love her.

#cdrama #MeetYourself

"What is the female gaze?"
"A woman wrapped in towels, fresh out of the shower, watching the hot guy across the street out her window as he gently, lovingly helps his grandmother wash her hair in a basin."

#cdrama #MeetYourself

"They call me Pony Prince."
