The #mandrake #Mandragora #officinarum (#Solanaceae) is native to the #Mediterranean region,evtl. except for the Levant, where it might be M. #autumnalis. It prefers open and drier #habitats. Its #roots can vaguely resemble #humanfigures, which is why it had #spiritual significance in the Middle Ages. G. Benítez et al.(2023) studied its history as a #medicinalplant.

Spotted St John’s wort (Hypericum maculatum, Geflecktes Johanniskraut) is a bright yellow wildflower known for its five rounded petals marked with characteristic black dots along the edges. Common in meadows, forest margins, and roadsides, it blooms from midsummer onward and is easily recognized by its bushy stamens and rich coloration. Ecologically, it provides an important nectar and pollen source for a wide range of insects, including bees, hoverflies, and beetles. Its presence supports pollinator populations and contributes to the biodiversity and stability of semi-natural grassland ecosystems. The wildflower is valued in herbal medicine for its antidepressant, anti-inflammatory, and wound-healing properties. It has traditionally been used to treat mild depression and skin ailments, though it may interact with certain medications.

RJPT - Immunomodulatory and Anti-inflammatory Activities of Cymbopogon citratus Stapf. Ethanol Extract

Lemongrass is known to be used as a cooking spice. In traditional treatment settings, this plant is believed to have immunosuppressive activity and is used as the complementary treatment for autoimmune disease. This research was conducted to examine the antioxidant, immunosuppressive, and anti-inflammatory activities from ethanol extract of C. citratus (EECC). The antioxidant capability was assessed using the DPPH method to scavenge radicals. In BALB/c mice, various parameters such as phagocytic index, organ index, antibody titer, and delayed-type hypersensitivity reaction were studied to evaluate immunomodulatory activity. The anti-inflammatory effect was tested against a rheumatoid arthritis animal model. Results showed that the EECC has antioxidant activity with IC50 193.07µg/mL The EECC showed immunosuppressive activity which was marked by the phagocytic index value below 1. The organ index of the animals treated with the EECC was also lower than the control group. In the test against specific immune response through antibody titer and DTH reaction, EECC showed immunosuppressant activity. In the rheumatoid arthritis animal model, EECC showed anti-inflammatory activity by reducing the paw inflammation at doses of 750 and 1500mg/kg of rat BW. It can be concluded from the experiment that ethanol extract of C. citratus has immunosuppressive and anti-inflammatory activity.

Hola. Yo hago "marigüanol" para mi madre de 82, que también padece de artrosis. Hace un par de años tuvo una caída y ahora lleva prótesis de titanio en muñeca y tobillo.

Este ungüento de CBN + CBD le ayuda a dormir sin dolor.

El Cannabinol (CBN) es activador de receptores CB2, con mayor presencia en hígado, periferia del cuerpo, sistema inmune, piel y huesos.

El CBD es necesario modulador pero como explica este estudio, el control del dolor (analgesia) es mayor si ambos CBN y CBD están presentes en cantidades parecidas. Cuando domina el CBD el efecto analgésico se reduce.

Este ungüento se produce al cocer flor "recreativa" equilibrada 1:1 o al menos de tipo indica, en aceite de oliva o aguacate a 90 C por 60 minutos. Una vez cocida pasas esta mezcla por filtros de papel para café. Ya limpia sin materia vegetal la mezclas con una parte igual de manteca de cacao derretida y calientas de nuevo, agitando constantemente hasta emparejar.

Yo uso 4 gr de flor seca desmenuzada por cada 100 ml de aceite. Los tiempos y temperaturas deben respetarse, pues se basan en la Calculadora de Preservación del Cannabis mezcla, y cambia si en la mezcla domina THCA, THC o CBN, lo que cambia el efecto.

Pej el THCA que domina en flor "recreativa" cruda no provoca volazón, pero es ansiolítico, neuroprotector, antiespasmódico, antiemético y desinflamante. Razono todas sus propiedades comprobadas y explico su uso como tisana en mi blog:

El THC que domina en flor ligeramente tostada o descarboxilada, es el único realmente psicotrópico, pero el más analgésico y anticancerígeno de todos.

El CBN de la flor cocida, ideal para el ungüento tópico, además de analgésico, es neuroprotector, anti insomnio, destruye superbacterias y atrae células madre de la médula para reparar fracturas y mejorar densidad ósea.
