CavyherdSo when I was talking to the pharmacy day before yesterday (before the doc sent in the replacement Rx—to the wrong pharmacy, of course), the not-covered Rx was $59 out of pocket.
Today, after doc sends in Rx for the •covered• scrip, the not-covered Rx is now $585.
What, & I cannot emphasize this enough, The Fuck 🤦 (Next time I'm in there I'm going to ask what it would be out of pocket. ffs.)
MyrddinEmerys 🍁🍂🍁I fucking hate our medical system in the US. I have insurance, I pay 660 bucks a month to have it, I have to pay still copays and overages for procedures. My daughter needs tendon repair sx. Her surgeon wants her to have it tomorrow, my insurance covers him. The place he does surgeries is “out of network”. Now they are scrambling to find a place. Make it make sense that somehow this is the “superior” way to have healthcare. Fuck this system.

So it turns out that the failure of the transfer of one of my medications between old health insurance & new health insurance (both using CVS pharmacy 🤦) is that the Generic Prescription Name™ in the old system has three letters ("Dro", presumably indicating "drop" for "eyedrops") that the new system doesn't have in the name, thereby >>completely fucking breaking<< the prescription transfer.
