The maggots churned in the container. The doctor said that it needed to be done after the debridement. I didn’t care, the thought of sticking my foot in there was sickening. I turned my head as the nurses gently placed my foot in the writhing mass. I had to fight the gag reflex.The nipping sensation was painful, but the pain meds kept the full extent at bay. After 10 minutes, they removed my foot and started applying a bandage, the gaping wound quickly hidden.

Avoid the antibiotic Cipro like the plague.

It can destroy your body. It weakens tendons and ligaments and makes them susceptible to abruptly bursting or snapping. The effects of the drug can be long-term. My brother took it and had to have major surgery to have a tendon reattached in his thumb. His story isn't nearly as horrible as others I have heard.
